BAA or higher earns the seal. Below it, you get a clear path to fix and one re-rating.
We grade on a nine-step scale modeled on the structure ratings agencies like Moody's use for credit. Grades run from AAA at the top to C at the bottom. The top four are certification grade. The bottom five fall below the certification line. Within a grade we may append a 1, 2, or 3 to show standing, where 1 is the strongest.
Tokenomics are sound and sustainable. No material vulnerabilities. The model holds up under sustained adversarial pressure.
Very strong design with low risk. A few minor concerns that do not threaten the model.
Solid design with low to moderate risk. A handful of issues, all of them addressable.
A workable design carrying moderate risk and meaningful issues to fix or monitor. This is the lowest grade that still earns the seal.
Substantial risk. Structural weaknesses that need real work before the design can be trusted at scale.
Significant vulnerabilities in supply, incentives, or governance that a market will find quickly.
Severe structural flaws and a high probability of failure once the design meets stress.
Near-certain failure modes, or a design that extracts value from the people it asks to participate.
Fundamentally broken or predatory. Our recommendation is to stop and rebuild the model.
